It was my brother’s 20th birthday a couple days ago, and we made him a big chocolate cake. After having the cake, I decided that I wanted to make a recipe with chocolate. It is possible that I have a slight addiction to chocolate. I decided that I needed to make some white chocolate protein brownies. Yes, white chocolate inside of a brownie. It is life changing.
One of the cool things about these brownies, if you can call it cool, is that there is no flour at all in them. The base is black beans. Before you say no way I am going to eat that, you need to try them. You don’t taste the beans at all. They help keep the brownies moist and add lots of fiber.
I used coconut oil for the first time in brownies, and I really like how it made them turn out. It helps keep them moist and fudgy. The Greek yogurt also helped moisten then and added protein as well.
For the protein powder, I obviously used chocolate, but I used both MusclePharm combat protein and their casein protein. The casein works really well to make them dense, moist, and fudgy. Everything you want in a brownie right?
