These fluffy chocolate brownie protein waffles topped with chocolate almond butter and chocolate chips not only taste amazing, but they are healthy too!

Ingredients
Waffles
  • ⅓ cup oat flour (or whole wheat flour)
  • 1 scoop Chocolate protein powder (rice/pea or casein work for this recipe)
  • 1 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp. baking powder
  • dash of salt
  • sweetener to taste
  • 1 whole egg
  • ½ cup almond milk (more or less depending on protein powder)
Toppings
  • 2 tbsp. D’s Naturals chocolate brownie almond butter
  • ½ tbsp. mini chocolate chips
  • ½ tbsp. dark chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Preheat waffle iron to medium/high heat. Mix flour, protein powder, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and sweetener in a medium bowl. Add egg and almond milk. Gently mix until a thick batter forms.
  2. Spray waffle iron with nonstick spray. Spoon batter into waffle iron making 3 medium sized waffles. Cook for about 4 minutes.
  3. Once cooked, drizzle chocolate almond butter over the top of the waffles. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Enjoy!
