This smoothie is thick, packed with protein and nutrients, and of course delicious. You can't even taste the greens and the combination of vanilla protein, blueberries, and almond butter make for an amazingly tasty breakfast or post workout smoothie.

Serves: 2 servings
Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk (I used unsweetened almond)
  • ½ cup vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • ½ frozen, ripe banana*
  • 1 cup spinach/baby kale mix**
  • 1½ scoops Ascent vanilla Native Fuel whey
  • 1 tbsp. creamy almond butter
  • 2 tbsp. chia seeds (plus more for topping)
  • Fresh blueberries (optional, for topping)
Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients to a powerful blender. Blend until smooth and no chunks of greens or frozen blueberries.
  2. Can drink now, or place in fridge for an hour to let chia seeds soak up liquid and make the smoothie nice and thick. I like to do this so I can eat it with a spoon! Enjoy!
Notes
*Banana is optional, but it adds a little extra natural sweetness that tastes delicious!
**Kale has a really strong flavor, so I like to use the juicing greens blend you can buy at the grocery which has spinach and baby kale. You can also just use spinach.
