Last night I was pretty much just scrolling through Instagram checking out other people’s food pages trying to figure out what to make. Then it suddenly hit me. French toast sticks. I have never made french toast sticks before so I figured why not make them now. I actually even surprised myself with how good these cinnamon “nutella” protein french toast sticks were!
I know it must seem weird that I am eating a breakfast food that is not pancakes or waffles. I guess sometimes you just have to change it up a little. Boy am I glad that I did. I really wish I would have made more than one serving. I could have easily eaten another 20 of these french toast sticks. They were that good. And they were the perfect thing t come back and make after being out of town.
I really missed making my food while I was in Georgia this weekend for my bike race. The trip was amazing and so much fun. It was even 65 degrees there on Sunday which felt great compared to the weather we have been having in Indiana. These really hit the spot after not being able to make any delicious creations while I was gone!
The cinnamon protein french toast sticks almost tasted like eating a churro. They had such an intense sweet cinnamon flavor that was perfect. All I did to make them that way was add my favorite cinnamon bun protein powder and lots of ground cinnamon to the egg mixture.
Next was probably the best part about the whole meal. The “nutella” cream to dip the french toast sticks in was out of this world. I probably could have eaten a whole bowl full of it too. If you like nutella and cinnamon, then I highly advise you make this and stuff yourself to the brim like I did.
