I thought about making these truffles almost a week ago and they have been on my mind ever since. Well, today, I finally got around to making them. We didn’t have in oreos in the house, but since it just got my license a few weeks ago, I was able to head to the grocery by myself and pick some up.
My sister graduation from Indiana University was this weekend, and now she will be living at home to finish up her last bit of school. It will be nice to have her home and help me with some recipes! She tasted the batter as I was making these truffles and approved of them.
These truffle really reminded me of the delicious red velvet protein truffles I made a few months ago. There is just something about a melt in your mouth truffle covered in white chocolate that I cannot get enough of.
They aren’t super high in protein, but thanks to the MusclePharm combat protein powder and casein protein powder, each one has 5 grams of protein. You certainly won’t find that much in any other truffles out there.
And let’s be honest here, the oreos are the best part of these. I mean seriously. Who doesn’t love oreos? If you say you don’t, either your taste buds have gone whack or you are fibbing!
