I literally just found this recipe and it has been unpublished. I can’t believe you guys haven’t been able to enjoy this bad boy like I have. I mean seriously, what’s not to love? Chocolate. Maple syrup. Bacon. Cake. Yes, I love everything about this CHOCOLATE MAPLE BACON PROTEIN CAKE.
The cake is a chocolate maple protein cake using MusclePharm chocolate milk combat powder and maple extract for the maple flavor.
The salty bacon was a great contrast to the sweetness of the chocolate and maple syrup. It had the effect of peanut butter and jelly or a chocolate covered pretzel. I also topped the cake with a maple peanut butter sauce. It was just peanut flour (or peanut butter) mixed with sugar free maple syrup and a little bit of maple extract.
