The inspiration for making this cookie dough protein fudge was obviously cookie dough, but also my grandma’s peanut butter fudge she always makes for holidays. It is by far one of my favorite desserts ever. There is something that I love about biting into a piece of sweet fudge.
It was really easy to make. And, one of the best parts is that there is no flour at all in them. I used garbanzo beans. It might sound a little weird, but you don’t taste the beans at all. They also help give a big boost of fiber that cookie dough and fudge almost never have.
To help enhance the flavor and make it protein fudge, I added a couple scoops of MusclePharm vanilla combat protein powder. It helped sweeten the cookie dough and gave each piece 10 grams of protein. Normally, you would probably have to eat the whole container of cookie dough and not even get that much protein.
I also added chocolate chips of course. It’s just not cookie dough unless it has a bunch of chocolate chips. Another thing I really love about it is the peanut butter taste. The peanut butter helps give it a smoother texture but it also gives it an amazing peanut butter cookie flavor.
