Christmas cookies mixed with a delicious protein bar? Now that is what I want to be eating this time of year. It lets you stay on track but still feel like you are still eating some yummy holiday treats. So, I bring to you these christmas monster cookie protein bars
Christmas Monster Cookie Protein Bars might be my new favorite holiday recipe!
What even is a monster cookie?
If you have never had a monster cookie before, it is a cookie where you pretty much just throw everything in. You can add pretty much anything you want, but I added the following:
- quick oats
- Christmas colored m&m’s
- semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Reese’s peanut butter chips
It is actually a pretty funny story with these. My oven broke after I had already mixed everything and put it into the pan. I preheated to 350F, or so I thought, and was about to put them in the oven. However, the oven wasn’t hot. So…. I improvised and went knocking on the neighbors door. Luckily she let me in and use the oven!
The inspiration for these cam when I was walking around the grocery and saw the Christmas colored m&m’s. It made me think of monster cookies so I figured CHRISTMAS MONSTER COOKIES had to happen.

You may notice in the photos that it looks like there are 12 cookie bars, this is because I got a little out of control and ate 4 of them as they were warm out of the oven! Trust me, they are hard to resist.
As far as texture goes on these, it is a mixture between an oatmeal cookie and a blondie. Cookies and blondies are two of my favorite desserts, so you can definitely say that my taste buds were pleased!
