APPLE PIE PROTEIN FRENCH TOAST…. because why would anyone just want to have regular old french toast? This one absolutely hit the spot. If you are an apple pie lover like me, then this apple pie protein french toast is sure to satisfy!
I used some of the BSN Syntha-6 Apple Pie A La Coldstone protein powder. You could also use some vanilla Syntha-6 protein as well if you can’t find the apple pie flavor, but the apple pie tastes amazing!
In the typical french toast mixture of eggs, milk, cinnamon, I also added the protein powder which is where this recipe gets all the protein. Then I topped it with a delicious cinnamon apple compote and a drizzle of sugar free caramel sauce.
I hope you guys enjoy this recipe as much as I did! Cheers!

Ingredients
French Toast
6–8 slices low carb whole grain bread*
1 scoop BSN Syntha-6 Apple Pie a la Coldstone protein powder
2 whole eggs
2 egg whites
3/4 cup milk unsweetened almond milk
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
pinch of salt
Apple Compote
1 whole apple (I used Gala, but any is fine), chopped into cubes
1 tbsp. coconut oil
1/4 cup sugar free maple syrup**
cinnamon to taste
Instructions
- Preheat pan/griddle to medium-high heat.
- Whisk together eggs, egg whites, milk, cinema, vanilla extract, salt and protein powder in a large bowl.
- Soak each slice of bread until coated with egg mixtures. Spray pan with nonstick spray. Cook each piece for a few minutes per side or until golden brown. Once cooked set aside.
- Keep pan on heat. Add coconut oil and chopped apple. Sautee for a couple minutes to soften. Add maple syrup and cinnamon. Continue to cook for a few more minutes.
- Top each serving of French toast with sautéed apples. Drizzle with caramel sauce (sugar free or regular) if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
*I used a whole wheat bread which is lower carb at about 12 grams per slice. Any preferred bread is fine. **Can also use regular, pure maple syrup if desired, but sugar/calories will be higher.
