Description

Moist chocolate cherry protein pancakes layered with cherry greek yogurt, and topped with healthy dark chocolate sauce, cherries, and mini chocolate chips.

Ingredients

Pancakes

  • 1/2 cup (60g) whole wheat flour
  • 1 scoop (35g) Musclepharm chocolate milk combat protein powder
  • 1 tbsp. (5g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp. granulated stevia or erythritol
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp. unsweetened almond milk (any milk is fine)
  • 1 large whole egg
  • 1/4 cup (56g) plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. diced cherries (optional)

Dark Chocolate Sauce

  • 1 tbsp. (5g) dark cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp. pure maple syrup (or honey, agave, sugar free syrup, etc.)
  • stevia to taste

Extra Toppings

  • 1 container (150g) cherry Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp. (5g) mini chocolate chips
  • frozen cherries

Instructions

  1. Preheat pan or griddle to medium/high heat. In a large bowl, mix whole wheat flour, protein powder, cocoa powder, stevia and baking powder. In a separate bowl, add milk, egg, and Greek yogurt and mix.
  2. Add wet ingredients to dry. Gently mix together until smooth. Fold in diced cherries (optional). Be careful not to over mix. Spoon batter onto griddle to make 5 medium sized pancakes. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side.
  3. Mix all dark chocolate sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Layer pancakes with cherry Greek yogurt. Top with dark chocolate sauce, cherries, and mini chocolate chips.
