Ok, just as I did with my Super Thick Daily Protein Smoothie, I have also had a bunch of requests for the recipe for my proats I eat almost everyday for breakfast. So, here we go!
MacroChef’s Daily Protein Oatmeal
There are so many variations you can do with protein oatmeal, just like the protein smoothies. I will put the main recipe, and then all the additions you can add.
Protein Oatmeal Base
I always use quick oats for my proats. I like that it cooks quicker and absorbs the liquid a bit better than rolled oats, which makes it thicker.
Main Ingredients
- Quick oats: as I mentioned above, I prefer to use quick oats. You can use old fashioned or even steel cut if you have the time.
- Egg whites: I use the liquid egg whites that come in a carton. They are super convenient. I love the texture and fluffiness you get when adding egg whites. You can omit them, but it won’t be nearly as creamy and fluffy!
- Protein Powder: A good protein powder is always key. This is where all the flavor comes from. If you are like me, and you love sweets, you really need a great tasting protein powder. The best protein you can use for recipes, and really anything is Macro Supps ONE Protein. It is a whey / casein blend that mixes great, has added digestive enzymes, and is the best tasting protein powder out there.
- Milk/water: I usually always cook my oats with water, but of course you can use milk if you prefer that.
Once you have the base made, then you can add the mix-ins!
For this bowl in the pictures, I mixed in the following
- Peanut flour / peanut butter powder
- Frozen mixed berries
- Cinnamon
- Salt
- Chia seeds
Finally, the toppings!
I kind of topped this bowl with the same things that I mixed in. I added some extra berries on top, a little bit of chocolate chip granola crumbles! And, the best part, I added a bog dollop of my PROTEIN PEANUT BUTTER SPREAD!

My daily bowl of creamy, protein-packed oatmeal with delicious toppings and mix-ins! The super easy, tasty, and nutritious breakfast I enjoy everyday!
Ingredients
Oatmeal
1 cup (80g) quick oats
2 cups (480mL) water (or milk)
6 tbsp (92g) liquid egg whites
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 scoop (34g) Macro Supps ONE Protein, vanilla ice cream flavor
Toppings / Mix-Ins
peanut flour (peanut butter powder)
mixed, frozen berries
my Protein Peanut Butter spread
granola
Instructions
- Add oats and water/milk to a large microwave safe bowl. I like to use a really big bowl so that I don’t have to worry about it boiling over and going all over the microwave.
- Microwave on high for 2:30. Mix. Microwave again for 1:30.
- Add egg whites and whisk into the oats. Make sure to mix thoroughly so that you don’t get scrambled eggs in your oatmeal! Microwave again for 1:00.
- Place in fridge/freezer for a few mins to slightly cool before adding protein powder. If the oats are still super hot when you add the protein it might curdle.
- Once cooled, add protein powder, cinnamon, and salt. If desired mix in berries, peanut butter, chocolate chips, etc.
- Top with any desired toppings and enjoy!
