Summer is for fresh flavors right? Well, I don’t know of anything much more refreshing than a lemon blueberry protein smoothie after a hot workout. Particularly for me, a hot training ride! I have been super into smoothies lately. Whether it is this one, a chocolate banana one, or vanilla and strawberry. You really can’t go wrong with a post-workout smoothie in my opinion.
I am excited that Ascent brought back their lemon sorbet native whey protein powder for the summer. So excited, in fact, that I have been making tons of recipes with it! Stay tuned because there will be plenty more to come!
Lemon Blueberry Protein Smoothie

This lemon blueberry protein smoothie is the perfect combination of tart lemon and sweet blueberries, and packed with protein it makes for a refreshing treat!

Serves: 1 smoothie
Ingredients
- ¾ cup almond milk (or preferred milk)
- ¾ cup frozen blueberries
- 1 scoop Ascent lemon sorbet whey protein powder
- Extra blueberries and/or lemon zest as optional toppings
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to blender. Blend until creamy and smooth. Enjoy!
